  • 1.5 pounds Brussels Sprouts, trimmed and halved (or quartered if large)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chili Flakes (or more, to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Rice Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black Pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds, for garnish (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped Green Onions, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the halved brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Make sure they are evenly coated.
  3. Spread the brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet. Avoid overcrowding to ensure they roast properly and become crispy.
  4. Roast for 20-25 minutes, or until the brussels sprouts are tender and slightly browned, flipping halfway through.
  5. While the brussels sprouts are roasting, prepare the sauce. In a small bowl, whisk together the minced garlic, red chili flakes, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, and sesame oil.
  6. Once the brussels sprouts are roasted, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the spicy garlic sauce over the sprouts.
  7. Toss well to coat the brussels sprouts evenly with the sauce.
  8. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
  9. Serve immediately.
