Description
Crispy roasted brussels sprouts tossed in a flavorful spicy garlic sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 pounds Brussels Sprouts, trimmed and halved (or quartered if large)
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Red Chili Flakes (or more, to taste)
- 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
- 1 tablespoon Rice Vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Honey
- 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
- Salt, to taste
- Black Pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds, for garnish (optional)
- 2 tablespoons Chopped Green Onions, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, toss the halved brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Make sure they are evenly coated.
- Spread the brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet. Avoid overcrowding to ensure they roast properly and become crispy.
- Roast for 20-25 minutes, or until the brussels sprouts are tender and slightly browned, flipping halfway through.
- While the brussels sprouts are roasting, prepare the sauce. In a small bowl, whisk together the minced garlic, red chili flakes, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, and sesame oil.
- Once the brussels sprouts are roasted, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the spicy garlic sauce over the sprouts.
- Toss well to coat the brussels sprouts evenly with the sauce.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
- Serve immediately.
