Description

A stunning no-bake Black Forest Tiramisu combining espresso-soaked ladyfingers, silky mascarpone cream, Amarena cherry compote, and dark chocolate shavings. A spectacular Italian-German fusion dessert perfect for any special occasion.


Ingredients

2 cups fresh or frozen tart cherries

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1/4 cup Kirsch liqueur optional

8 tablespoons cherry jam

450g high-quality mascarpone cheese at room temperature

4 large egg yolks

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 cup heavy cream whipped to stiff peaks

24 to 30 ladyfinger biscuits savoiardi

1 cup strong espresso cooled

3 tablespoons dark chocolate shavings

2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder for dusting

Fresh cherries for garnish


Instructions

1. Cook cherries with sugar and lemon juice 15 minutes until compote forms then cool completely

2. Whisk egg yolks and sugar until pale then fold in room temperature mascarpone until smooth

3. Whip cold heavy cream to stiff peaks and fold gently into mascarpone mixture in 3 stages

4. Dip each ladyfinger in cooled espresso 1 to 2 seconds per side

5. Layer half soaked ladyfingers in dish then spread half mascarpone cream and half cherry mixture

6. Repeat with remaining ladyfingers cream and cherries

7. Scatter dark chocolate shavings over top and cover tightly

8. Refrigerate minimum 4 hours ideally overnight

9. Dust with cocoa powder and garnish with fresh cherries just before serving

Notes

Mascarpone must be at room temperature for smooth lump-free cream.

Dip ladyfingers maximum 2 seconds to prevent sogginess.

Overnight refrigeration produces the absolute best flavor and texture.
