  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons lemon zest
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the sugar, melted butter, eggs, buttermilk, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Mix well.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in the chopped strawberries.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 50 60 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. While the bread is cooling, prepare the lemon glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest until smooth.
  10. Once the bread is completely cool, drizzle the lemon glaze over the top. Let the glaze set before slicing and serving.
