A decadent and flavorful steak shrimp garlic butter recipe combining steak and shrimp in a rich garlic butter sauce.

- 1 (12-16 ounce) Ribeye steak, New York strip, or Filet Mignon
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon paprika
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ cup dry white wine (optional)
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Pat the steak dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large cast iron skillet over high heat until shimmering. Sear the steak for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer as needed.
- Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- Toss the shrimp with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Cook the shrimp in the same skillet for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque.
- Melt butter in the same skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant (1-2 minutes).
- Add white wine (if using) and simmer for 1-2 minutes. Stir in lemon juice and parsley; season with salt and pepper.
- Slice the steak against the grain. Arrange steak and shrimp on a plate and drizzle with garlic butter sauce.
