- 1 box brownie mix (plus ingredients listed on box)
- 1 (3.4 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
- 15 chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos), crushed
- Green sprinkles or shamrock candies (for garnish)
Instructions
- 1. Bake the brownies according to package directions and let cool completely.
- 2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and milk until smooth. Stir in the vanilla extract and let stand for 5 minutes to thicken.
- 3. Cut the cooled brownies into 1 inch cubes. In a large trifle bowl or individual dessert cups, layer half of the brownie cubes, half of the custard, half of the crushed chocolate cookies, and half of the whipped topping.
- 4. Repeat the layers with the remaining brownie cubes, custard, crushed chocolate cookies, and whipped topping.
- 5. Cover the trifle and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld together.
- 6. Before serving, garnish with green sprinkles or shamrock candies.
