  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for serving
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  2. Add the chopped sun dried tomatoes and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook for another minute, stirring occasionally.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  4. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and let it melt into the cream, creating a smooth and creamy sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remember to taste as you go and adjust seasoning according to your preference.
  5. Add the gnocchi to the sauce. Gently stir to coat the gnocchi evenly.
